Data from Canalys shows that between January and June 2025, India produced 23.9 million iPhones, a 53% increase compared to the previous year. Of these, 78% were shipped to the U.S., making India a key manufacturing hub.
CyberMedia Research reports iPhone exports from India rose to 22.88 million units, up 52% year-on-year, with export value reaching ₹1.94 lakh crore ($23.2 billion) in just six months.
India Surpasses China in U.S. Smartphone Shipments
India’s smartphone manufacturing industry has grown 240% in a year, surpassing China in shipments to the U.S. for the first time. Vietnam also captured a 30% share in the U.S. smartphone market during this period.
