Which cars support the car key in Apple Wallet?

At WWDC in 2020, Apple announced a new Car Key feature that allows people to use the Wallet app on their iPhone or Apple Watch to control their car. Although adoption of this feature has been slow, head below to find the full list of cars that support Apple’s Car Key integration.

What is an Apple car key?

This feature allows users to add their car key to the Wallet app, then use the Wallet app to lock, unlock, and start their car. Although specific applications vary by automaker, there are a few different ways Apple’s Car Key feature can be used:

• Negative entry: Get close to your car with your device, it will unlock, start your car when you’re inside it, move away from your car with your device, it will lock.
• Proximity: Lock, unlock and start your car by placing your device near the door handle or key reader.
• remote: You can use your device to lock and unlock your car remotely, and use other features.

The car key feature also includes quick mode support. This feature lets you use your car key without unlocking your device, or authenticating with Face ID, Touch ID, or a passcode. The Wallet app also supports sharing your car key using things like Messages, Mail, and AirDrop.

And if your iPhone died? You can still use it as a car key up to five hours after the fact. Very impressive stuff.

At WWDC 2025, Apple noted that more brands have signed on to support the Apple Car Key in Wallet:

GM also announced that it will soon introduce the car key to some of its lineups. The Chinese manufacturer Jetor is also Imminently Car key support introduced.

As of now, these are the cars that Apple says support the Car Key. Ideally, adoption will continue to grow, but we’ll have to wait for more announcements from automakers to know for sure.
