RODE is rolling out a major firmware update for Rod Caster video This week turns your iPhone into a wireless camera powerhouse.
The update adds NDI support and is now available at no additional cost.
NDI (Network Device Interface) is an industry standard for high-quality, low-latency video over IP.
With the new update, RODECaster Video can receive up to four NDI inputs and output one stream via Ethernet, making it easy to connect cameras and devices over the same network without dedicated cables.
The biggest news for Apple users is support Capture the rod Application on iOS.

Once updated, your iPhone can act as a wireless video input for the RODECaster Video, with dual camera mode.
This allows the front and rear cameras to stream simultaneously, either as two independent feeds or combined into one.
This means one iPhone can capture both sides of an interview or commentary setting without the need for additional hardware.

This configuration works especially well with cool Road Wireless Micro or Road Wireless Go 3 Used as iPhone audio input.
iPhone video input works wirelessly over the same wireless network as wired when using an Ethernet adapter.
RODE says the firmware also adds PTZ camera control, advanced key tools, audio-linked auto switching from the RODECaster Pro II and Duo, and a host of workflow improvements.
“This update takes RODECaster video to a whole new level,” says Damian Wilson, RODE CEO. “By adding NDI at no cost, we’re giving creators the kind of network-based production power that was previously reserved for high-end broadcast platforms. Now, it’s within anyone’s reach.”

The update is available now, and RODE Capture is currently only available for iPhone. RODECaster video is available at Amazon And who RODE online store.
