iPhone can be used as a webcam for Nintendo Switch 2 (video)

Happy Nintendo Switch 2 Day to those celebrating. Turns out the iPhone is an officially supported accessory.

GameChat is a new social feature for Nintendo’s latest gaming console, allowing players to play together during video calls through the Switch 2 system.

Nintendo sells an official Switch 2 camera that connects using USB-C, but the console supports standard USB-C webcams as well.

Apple has been treating the iPhone as a webcam for the Mac for a while now, and Nintendo appears to be doing the same with the Switch 2.

This configuration depends on HDMI to USB-C cable and HDMI capture cable Between the iPhone and the Switch 2. If you already have these items in your inventory, this could be a great alternative to traveling with a dedicated Switch 2 camera.
