The new iPhone will upgrade the camera to 200 megapixels, up from 48 megapixels, according to the leaker

Only in the last few years has Apple begun switching its iPhone cameras to 48-megapixel, but it looks like another big leap is in the works. per New leakApple is increasing the camera resolution to 200 megapixels in a future iPhone model.

The iPhone camera is expected to jump from a 48-megapixel sensor to a 200-megapixel one

Every year, Apple releases new iPhones. And every year, there’s one upgrade you can count on: changing your camera.

The camera has long been one of the iPhone’s most important features, and Apple’s hardware efforts reflect that.

New camera improvements are expected for this year’s iPhone 17 line, such as an upgraded 24MP front camera, a new 48MP telephoto camera on the Pro models, and more.

But according to a leaked Weibo digital chat station, there’s a bigger jump on the way with the future iPhone model.

In a New jobIt has been revealed that Apple is working on upgrading the iPhone’s camera to 200MP.

No specific model was mentioned, so it is not known when the camera change might arrive.

If it’s next year, the new iPhone Fold might be the target model because it will carry a very hefty price tag. If not until later, the 20th anniversary iPhone Pro in 2027 could be another good option.

Apple has for years been slower to introduce megapixel changes to the iPhone. The recent upgrade to 48MP comes years behind its competitors. Samsung is already shipping its own 200-megapixel cameras, which debuted two years ago on the Galaxy S23 Ultra.

More pixels on a smartphone camera can lead to images with more noise, so we’ll have to see how Apple plans to mitigate such issues when its 200-megapixel model arrives.
