Pitaka unveils the slim MagSafe power bank with Qi2 technology

It’s now 2025, and there are a lot of MagSafe battery packs available. Some are multi-functional, some have software touches, some can fast charge your phone, and all have differential tools to help you decide. But sometimes, you just need a good-looking MagSafe battery pack that does all the major things great, while also looking slim, sleek, and modern. And that’s exactly what Pitaka was able to do with its new magnetic power bank made from aramid fiber. Here’s what you should know.

Be sure to check out our hands-on video to see the battery pack in action below.

First impressions

If you have used a Pitaka product before, you will know that they are known for making accessories that are extremely thin while remaining solid and protective. They achieve this by using aramid fiber weave as the base for most (if not all) of their accessories. I’ve been using their cases since the iPhone they Classic case for iPhone It is a great combination of thin and lightweight but also provides protection and they have been able to add Magsafe magnets in there for more magnetic strength.

Their new MagSafe battery packs Follow the same design language. They’re coated with Pitaka’s signature aramid fiber, which matches their cases perfectly. The texture is soft but still astringent, and the rose gold aluminum trim gives it just the right amount of contrast. When it comes to the packaging, it was also very minimal, as there was only the battery pack itself.

Specifications

Here are some specifications you need to know

  • 5000 mAh capacity
  • Qi2 Certified: Supports 15W wireless charging
  • 20W USB-C input and output
  • LED indicators inside
  • Its thickness is 0.88 cm and its weight is less than 120 grams

Although the specs are great, most people want to know how much their iPhone will charge.

Real-world use

As mentioned above, this has a 5,000 mAh battery, and the iPhone 16 Pro Max has a 4,685 mAh battery. I used a 16 Pro Max, running iOS 26 Beta 1, and the charge went from 20% to 90% before the battery died. There are many factors that go into this, like the fact that I’m using beta software, how it loses power due to wireless charging, and how much I was using it while charging. So your mileage may vary in relation to how much battery you get out of this. But considering how thin, light and portable the power bank is, I’m very happy with the fact that I got 70% more battery with this battery pack.

Then you have the magnets, which are insanely strong. This may be a combination of the magnets on the battery and the case, with the choice of material for the interior of the battery. All of this makes this battery very easy to use and gives you confidence that it will not fall out easily. I also liked that it comes in the same colors and designs as the cases, so you can match them easily.

Pricing, availability and final take

You can currently get this on both Bitaka website and Amazon. Pitaka’s website has them on sale for $59 It has six different color options. At the same time, Amazon has it up for $69 And only one color. Pitaka also runs a crazy deal where they sell their original color Woven Designer Cases for $11.99 with free shipping (These cases were $90!). These cases are identical to the new ones, just a different design.

So, if you want a MagSafe battery pack that’s simple to look at, slim, and stays cool to the touch, this one should be considered. I’m just a fan of the overall look and package they offer.
