TV streaming services continue to get more expensive, with the latest announcement coming from Paramount+, which will raise prices for all of its plans very soon.
New Paramount+ prices kick in January 15, 2026
Paramount+ is getting more expensive starting early next year.
As part of Paramount’s recent quarterly earnings call, the company announced price hikes for its streaming service hitting January 15, 2026 (via The Hollywood Reporter).
Starting then, every Paramount+ plan is going up in price:
Paramount+ Essential: $8.99/month (up from $7.99)
Paramount+ Premium: $13.99/month (up from $12.99)
There are new rates for annual plans too, with Essential hitting $89.99 per year and Premium $139.99.
Essential is Paramount’s ad-supported plan, while Premium is the ad-free tier.
This move isn’t a huge surprise, both because price increases have become so common among streamers, but also because Paramount+ is adding UFC early next year.
Paramount spent $7.7 billion to become the new home for UFC, which for fans of the sport makes the $1 price hikes pretty easy to justify. For everyone else, however, it’s unclear how well yet another increase from a streamer will go down.
Do you subscribe to Paramount+, and will these price increases change that at all? Let us know in the comments.
